Düsseldorf's In Our Time Literary Evening Celebrates Local Voices and Poetry

A literary evening titled In Our Time took place at the Antoniushof in Düsseldorf on March 11, 2026. The event featured readings from the Solingen Authors' Circle and Friends, drawing nearly two dozen members and guests from the Freundeskreis Düsseldorfer Buch '75 e.V. (FDB). The Antoniushof, a known venue for literary gatherings, hosted the evening as part of the FDB's ongoing events. The organisation had marked its 50th anniversary the previous year, in 2025.

Three writers presented their work. Dirk Steinert opened with a poetry series under the same title as the event, *In Our Time*. Kay Ganahl followed with three prose pieces, one of which was *Man(n) Among Trees*. Florian Meurer then read a lengthy poem called *Power of Peace*. After each reading, the audience took part in lively discussions. The evening closed with warm applause, and many stayed behind for personal conversations.

The event highlighted the continued activity of the FDB and its role in Düsseldorf's literary scene. Readings like In Our Time provide a platform for local writers and foster engagement among attendees.
