Dusseldorf's Carnival Prince Displays Vocal Absence at Fool's University's Carneval Signing Ceremony

The Narrencollegium, a renowned Düsseldorf carnival group, has invited the public to join them in celebrating during their International Session on 1st February 2025, held at the Kolping Hall at Bilker Straße 36.

The festivities began with a topping-out ceremony for the Rosenmontag float on Saturday, 4th January. City dean Frank Heidkamp blessed the float during the ceremony, his prayer requesting good weather, peaceful celebrations, and much joy for Rosenmontag.

Prince Andreas I., Venetia Evelyn, and the adjutant of the prince's couple were present at the blessing. Following the ceremony, the group attended a celebration in the casino. During the event, President Dennis Vobis welcomed Benedikt Masberg and Christoph Fassbinder as new members into the Narrencollegium, and made witty remarks during his welcome speech.

The entertainment didn't stop there. Prince Andreas and his couple got everyone singing "Düsseldorf Helau" throughout the casino. There was also a humorous moment when Prince Andreas was advised to hand over the presidency of the KG Regenbogen to a younger person.

The blessing included a quote from Charlie Chaplin about laughter and community, emphasising the spirit of camaraderie that underpins the Narrencollegium's events.

Information and tickets for the International Session can be found on the Narrencollegium's official website. Unfortunately, no specific details were given about the TV recording of the session, but it is scheduled for Thursday. However, it has been confirmed that the entertaining exchange between Vobis and Prince Andreas will not be included in the broadcast.

Holy water was used in the blessing of the Rosenmontag float and the carnivalists present. The Narrencollegium encourages everyone to join them in celebrating community, laughter, and the spirit of carnival during their International Session.
