"Dusseldorf Hosts a Shared Summer Celebration, Award-Winning Event"
In the seventh consecutive year, KG "Gemeinsam Jeck" invited to the summer festival & mini-golf tournament, the "Jecken Dancer" took center stage. This fabulous troupe, established in 2017, grooves together under the guidance of their trainers, learning fresh dance moves.
The "Jecken Dancer" is set to compete at the national Winter Games of the Special Olympics in Thuringia in January 2023. They've already nailed the gold at the NRW qualifiers on March 11th, paving the way for their winter games adventure. It's no surprise that dancing is considered a sport in the Winter Games, given our carnival traditions.
Kokolores, long-time buddies of KG "Gemeinsam Jeck", warmed up the crowd with their hits before the mini-golf tournament. 16 teams registered, with their pairings eagerly awaited. Included among them were the upcoming royal couple, Uwe and Melanie Willer, who secured third place with 110 shots.
"Us de Lamaeng" isn't a carnival society, but a lively group that includes the future royal pair. The winners, the Originals' duo Thomas and Konny, claimed the title for the third time in a row, despite not having their cleaning mop this time.
Whether you ended up with 91 or 163 shots, everyone had a blast at the tournament. Ex-prince couple Christian and Alina also graced the game, followed by a surprise gift for KG "Gemeinsam Jeck" in the form of a 1,111€ check.
After the tournament, the celebration moved to the south park, featuring coffee, cake, food from the grill, and entertainment by the Rhingschiffer.
