President Vobis Inducts New Members and Delivers Entertaining Speech at Narrencollegium Celebration
In a lively gathering, President Dennis Vobis delivered a humorous speech during the Narrencollegium celebration on a recent date. The event, which took place in the presence of Prince Andreas I., Venetia Evelyn, and the adjutant of the prince's pair, was filled with laughter and camaraderie.
President Vobis took the opportunity to induct two new members into the academic fool's community of the Narrencollegium: Benedikt Masberg and Christoph Fassbender. The induction ceremony was a highlight of the event, marking a significant moment in the lives of the new members.
During his speech, President Vobis also humorously advised Prince Andreas to consider handing over the presidency of the KG Regenbogen due to his advanced age. The Prince took the jest in good humour, adding to the light-hearted atmosphere of the occasion.
The celebration concluded with a collective singing of the session's song, "Düsseldorf Helau". The prince's pair led everyone in the lively rendition, adding a fitting end to a memorable event.
Following the celebration, President Vobis will make his debut as a moderator on the TV recording of the session, scheduled for Thursday. He has been instructed "not to be too cheeky" during the recording to maintain a professional tone. Unfortunately, the entertaining exchange of words between Vobis and the prince's pair that occurred during the live event will not be repeated on the TV recording.
The Narrencollegium will celebrate again on February 1, 2025, at the International Session in the Kolping Hall at Bilker Straße 36. Information and tickets for the event can be found online for those who wish to attend.
The celebration was a testament to the spirit of camaraderie and fun that the Narrencollegium embodies, and it left attendees looking forward to the next event.
