Dürener Spring Festival 2026 brings traffic and shop hour changes

Dürener Innenstadt will host its annual Spring Festival from March 28 to 30, 2026. The event includes a flea market and will bring changes to traffic, public transport, and shop opening times. Residents and visitors should prepare for temporary adjustments in the area. The festival kicks off on Saturday, March 28, and runs until Monday, March 30. During this time, Schenkelstraße will have a reduced speed limit of 30 km/h to improve safety around the event.

Bus stops serving Dürener Innenstadt will move to Schenkelstraße for the weekend. The relocation applies only on March 28 and 29, ensuring smooth transport for festivalgoers.

On Sunday, March 29, shops in the city centre will open later than usual, at 1 p.m. This change allows businesses to align with the festival schedule while still serving customers. The Dürener Spring Festival will run for three days, with traffic and transport modifications in place. Shops will adjust their hours, and drivers must observe the lower speed limit on Schenkelstraße. The event aims to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees.
