🏆 Celebrating Draughts Champions in Tashkent 🏆

Nothing beats the thrill of competition, and that was certainly the case in Tashkent as the World Championships, Youth Championships, and World Cup in Russian draughts took place. Amidst the sea of talented players from around the globe, our Russian contestants truly shone.

Matrena Nogovitsyna, Director of the Republican Chess and Draughts Center, teamed up with Nariyaana Sergeeva, Aiyyna Prokopyeva, and Yulia Nikanorova to clinch the World Championship title. But the Yakutians didn't let their fellow Russians hog all the limelight. Nikolai Germogenov, Tunara Fedorenko, Aleksey Bolshakov, Alena Bolshakova, and Daiayana Alekseeva took a well-deserved second place.

Competition never ends in a draughts tourney, and Matrena Nogovitsyna proved it yet again by winning gold medals in both blitz and rapid at the World Cup. Yulia Nikanorova followed closely, snagging the runner-up spot in rapid, while Daiayana Alekseeva added a bronze medal in blitz to her collection.

At the World Youth Championships, Daiayana Alekseeva and Aleksey Bolshakov continued their winning streaks. Daiayana became the champion, and Aleksey took home a silver medal. In the under-27 World Championships, Daiayana claimed two more gold medals in blitz and rapid, while Aleksey pocketed a silver in the rapid program.

While we've highlighted a few standout performers, a quick glance at the list of participants reveals that these tournaments attracted players from countries like Iran, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan[1]. For a comprehensive understanding of the achievements and performances of these players, officially recorded data from the International Draughts Federation (IDF) or other draughts organizations would be your best bet. [🎉 Let the games continue! 🎉]
