The following night, on April 16th at 3:30 am, the next gas station was targeted on the southern highway near Schäffern in Styria. Authorities located the elusive getaway vehicle just hours later and were able to stop the fleeing vehicle, leading to the arrest of the 21-year-old suspect.

Netting the Accomplice

Investigations revealed that the 16-year-old accomplice acted as the lookout in two of the incidents. The stolen money, it seemed, was quickly dispersed or gambled away by the 21-year-old.

Clothing, Masks, and Weapons Seized

During searches of the suspects' vehicles and residences, police discovered a significant amount of clothing, masks, and bags used in the robberies, in addition to the weapons used in the escapes.
