Duke of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, stuns King Charles III with an unforeseen choice
In a recent development, it has been reported that Princess Kate Middleton is not ready for a public reconciliation with her brother-in-law, Prince Harry. According to an insider cited by Closer Magazine, as reported by The News on August 12, 2025, Kate feels the pain caused by Meghan Markle and the public attacks aired during the Oprah Winfrey interview and the subsequent Netflix documentary is something she believes can never be mended.
The matter between Princess Kate and the Sussexes, as previously stated, is considered to be "done and dusted" by the Princess of Wales. However, Kate might tolerate being in the same room as Meghan in extremely serious circumstances, but she is not willing to participate in a public reconciliation or stand next to Harry for such an event.
This revelation comes after a meeting between King Charles and Prince Harry's aides in London, which is reported as a first major step towards a future reunion. While no further details about this meeting were provided, it is understood that the reunion between King Charles and Prince Harry is being considered as a father and son matter, not about the Sussex brand.
Interestingly, both Princess Kate and King Charles agree that Meghan Markle is not welcome in the reunion process. This decision by the Princess of Wales might be an unexpected one, considering her respect for her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana. However, Catherine has made it clear that she is not willing to stand next to Harry if he is working on a project representing his mother.
It is important to note that the matter between Princess Kate and the Sussexes has caused additional pain for Kate, and she believes that this pain cannot be healed. This position by the Princess of Wales indicates that she is not ready for a public reconciliation with Prince Harry at this time.
