Duesseldorf's Carnival prince, rendered silent, unveiled at the fool's college's car sign unveiling ceremony
The Narrencollegium, the Academy of Fools of 1952 e.V., is gearing up for their International Session, set to take place on February 1, 2025, at the Kolping Hall in Düsseldorf, Germany. The venue for this grand event, located at Bilker Straße 36, will be the stage for a series of festivities, including the traditional singing of the session song, "Düsseldorf Helau". City Dean Frank Heidkamp will preside over a significant ceremony during the International Session, blessing the Rosenmontag wagon and the carnivalists. Heidkamp began the blessing with a quote from Charlie Chaplin: "Every day that you don't laugh is a wasted day." In his prayer, Heidkamp asked for good weather on Rosenmontag, peaceful celebrations, and much joy. The Rosenmontag floats are currently being built, decorated, and painted in the vehicle construction hall of the Committee Düsseldorf Carnival on Merowingerstraße. The Düsseldorf Narrencollegium held a topping-out ceremony on Saturday, where President Dennis Vobis made witty remarks during his welcome speech, which caught Prince Andreas off guard. After the blessing, the group attended a subsequent celebration in the casino. Prince Andreas I., Venetia Evelyn, and the Adjutantur of the Prince's couple were present at the blessing. The International Session will also see the admission of new members, with Benedikt Masberg and Christoph Fassbender being welcomed into the Narrencollegium on February 1, 2025. The Narrencollegium extends an invitation to the public to attend their International Session on February 1, 2025. Information and tickets for the event can be found online. In an exciting turn of events, President Dennis Vobis will make his debut as a moderator on Thursday's television session. This promises to be an event not to be missed!
