parliament: Back in the AfD fold for Blex, another round of renovations needed
Good ol' Blex, the ousted AfD parliamentarian, is looking to make a comeback, and it seems like the state parliament's plenary chamber is in for yet another facelift. You'd think they've had enough renovations already, but Blex's reinstatement means another round of adjustments to seat arrangements.
Last year, we got ourselves a brand new seat for Blex in the far corner, a move that was required back then. Now, everything is being reversed, as Blex intends to join the AfD parliamentary group once again from January 1, 2024.
Blex found himself on the outs with the AfD parliamentary group after an infamous trip to Russia caused quite the stir. He hung around as an independent MP after that, even taking up a spot behind his former colleagues in the parliament. It was their turn to move up a row, with one MP and one AfD member switching places.
According to a state parliament spokesperson, the seating arrangements will be tweaked for the January 2024 plenary session, account for Blex's rejoining the AfD parliamentary group.
