Ducati's Panigale V4 secures the 2025 Red Dot Design Award; here's a peek...
2025 Ducati Panigale V4 S: A Leaner, Meaner, and Sleeker Riding Experience
The motorcycling world is abuzz with the release of the 2025 Ducati Panigale V4, a bike that promises to deliver a leaner, meaner, and sleeker riding experience.
The new Panigale V4, available in two variants – Standard and S – has undergone significant changes, both cosmetically and performance-wise.
Redesigned Frame and Swingarm for Improved Handling
Ducati has redesigned the frame and swingarm of the Panigale V4, reducing its lateral stiffness for enhanced handling. The new swingarm is a double-sided hollow unit, which Ducati claims provides better stability, mechanical grip, and traction.
Power and Performance
At its heart, the 2025 Panigale V4 is powered by a 1,103 cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine. This powerhouse produces 213 bhp at 13,500 rpm and 120 Nm at 11,250 rpm.
The Ducati Panigale V4 S, weighing 187 kg, is 4 kg lighter than the Standard model, thanks to a lighter frame and components.
Aesthetic Upgrades
The bodywork of the 2025 Ducati Panigale V4 has been completely redesigned, drawing inspiration from the iconic 916 Panigale. The new Panigale V4 sports a new set of slimmer LED headlamps and features winglets and a new diamond-shaped fuel tank.
Customers can choose callipers in various colours, including red, yellow, black, and gold. The new callipers on the Panigale V4, supplied by Brembo – a name synonymous with performance in the industry – feature a lighter weight, a new pad retention system, and improved ventilation.
Performance Upgrades
The 2025 Ducati Panigale V4 S features several cosmetic and performance upgrades compared to the standard Panigale V4. The S variant benefits from a heavily revised aluminum front frame that offers 40% less lateral stiffness and sheds 700 grams.
Moreover, the V4 S includes the latest Öhlins semi-active electronic suspension for improved handling and ride quality. The S model also features the exclusive Carbon and Carbon Pro trims, which add five-spoke carbon fiber rims that reduce wheel weight by about 0.95 kg and lower the moment of inertia by 12% front and 19% rear, enhancing nimbleness and cornering precision.
In contrast, the standard Panigale V4 lacks these carbon fiber components and uses a more traditional aluminum wheel setup, generally resulting in a slightly higher weight and less sharp handling.
Pricing and Availability
The Ducati Panigale V4 is sold in India through the CBU route. The Panigale V4 Standard is priced at ₹29.99 lakh, and the S variant is priced at ₹36.50 lakh (both ex-showroom). The new Panigale V4 was released in the Indian market in March 2025.
The engine on the Panigale V4 is now Euro5+ compliant and is paired with a six-speed gearbox with a standard quickshifter. Ducati also offers a range of performance accessories like a titanium Akrapovič exhaust system (not standard on either model but available as upgrades) that increases power by 12 hp and cuts weight, further boosting track capabilities.
In summary, the 2025 Panigale V4 S's cosmetic updates centre around exclusive carbon fiber parts that reduce weight and improve agility, while performance upgrades focus on chassis refinement and advanced electronic suspension, distinguishing it from the standard version.
Enjoy the thrill of high-performance sports racing with the 2025 Ducati Panigale V4 S, a bike optimized for agility on the track.
The sleek design, complemented by lightweight carbon fiber parts, offers enhanced handling and nimbleness for a leaner, meaner racing experience.
