Dubai's Aayan Dadabhoy to Compete in Prestigious Curry Cup

Aayan Dadabhoy, a 17-year-old golfer from Dubai, has qualified for the Curry Cup, the season-ending championship of the Underrated Golf Tour. This tournament, founded by NBA star Stephen Curry, brings together 24 of the world's top junior golfers to compete for the ultimate prize at the prestigious Liberty National Golf Club in New Jersey.

Dadabhoy secured his place in the Curry Cup by excelling in the Underrated Golf European Tour events, likely earning a top position in the junior competitions held in venues such as London or Scotland. Winners or top performers from these events earn an all-expenses-paid invitation to compete in the Curry Cup against other top European champions.

Representing the Tommy Fleetwood Academy Dubai, based at Jumeirah Golf Estates, Dadabhoy has already made a significant impact on the global golfing stage. His win at the Kittocks Course at Fairmont St Andrews announced his arrival, and his fifth-place finish at the FCG Callaway Collegiate in California further showcased his talent.

Dadabhoy views the Curry Cup as an opportunity to test himself against top global junior golfers. He considers being part of the Curry Cup a huge privilege and a significant opportunity for his playing career. His immediate focus is on winning the Curry Cup and bringing it back to Dubai.

The Curry Cup aims to promote diversity and inclusion in junior golf, providing young golfers, especially juniors, from Europe and beyond the opportunity to compete at high levels and showcase their talent. Dadabhoy's performance at St. Andrews and his subsequent qualification for the Curry Cup are testament to the success of this mission.

After the Curry Cup, Dadabhoy aims to chase an invite to the Challenge Tour or UAE's professional events. He believes that competition helps in growing his game and is grateful for the experience of participating in the Curry Cup.
