Drunk Man Breaks Into Car Dealership - Drunk Driver's Chaos in Rüsselsheim: Car Theft, Damage, Police Chase
A 28-year-old man, suspected of being under the influence of alcohol, caused chaos in Rüsselsheim. He stole a car from a dealership, damaged several vehicles, and led police on a chase before his arrest.
The man, whose identity has not been revealed, entered a car dealership in Rüsselsheim and drove off with a vehicle. In his haste, he damaged eight other cars and the entrance gate. His rampage didn't stop there; he also allegedly damaged the fence of a nearby gas station.
Police spotted the man and attempted to apprehend him. However, he refused to stop and struck several guardrails during the chase. His erratic driving ended when he crashed the stolen car, allowing officers to arrest him.
Tests revealed a blood alcohol level of 1.6 and the presence of drugs in his system. The man was known to police, with two arrest warrants outstanding. He was taken into custody at a detention facility.
The 28-year-old man, who remains unnamed, faces charges for car theft, property damage, and evading police. His alcohol consumption and drug use contributed to his reckless behaviour. Authorities have him in custody pending further investigation.
