Drunk Driver, 28, Causes Serious Hagen Accident Without License
Early Sunday morning, a 28-year-old man caused an accident in Hagen-Wehringhausen while driving without a valid license. The incident occurred near the railway underpass on Wehringhauser Straße at around 1:00 AM.
The driver, who was behind the wheel of a Renault, was traveling at approximately 80 km/h when he lost control of the vehicle in a curve. The car collided with a curb, retaining wall, and opposite guardrail, resulting in severe damage. The driver agreed to a breathalyzer test, which revealed a blood alcohol content of 1.6%.
The passenger, a 16-year-old, sustained minor injuries but did not require medical attention. The driver will face charges for driving without a license and endangering traffic. The Renault was towed away due to the extent of the damage.
The driver's actions put both himself and the passenger at risk. The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and the driver will face the consequences of his actions in a court of law.
