In the wee hours of Saturday night, a thrilling chase unfolded in the Berlin district of Spandau. A drug-fueled individual, aged 25, and his female companion were behind the wheel of an Opel Corsa, breaking the rules of the road and putting other road users at risk.

Ignoring a turning patrol car's calls to halt, the reckless duo sped off, with the officers hot on their trail. At 80 km/h, the officers had to maintain a high speed to keep up, as the drug user skillfully evaded their grasp.

Their dance on the Berlin streets eventually ended at Seegefelder Weg, where the speeding car crashed through a fence and plunged into a swimming pool. With the authorities now closing in, the pair attempted to flee on foot, only to be apprehended without incident at the corner of Wolfhorst and Am Kiesteich.

During their detention, the authorities suspected drug use and obtained a blood sample from the man. His contingency plan, a container of drug-free urine meant for such situations, was of no use to him.

This exhilarating tale of chaos and misadventure sparked local news headlines, serving as a grim reminder of the perils of drug use and reckless driving.
