In a significant turn of events, the Russian Ministry of Defense has reported the interception of numerous Ukrainian drones over various Russian regions.

Over the past few days, a total of 34 Ukrainian drones were shot down over Russian territories, according to the Ministry. This number increased significantly on the night of August 9 to 10, when 121 fixed-wing Ukrainian drones were intercepted, as per the Ministry's reports. The following night, from August 13 to 14, 44 more drones were downed.

The intercepted drones were primarily found over numerous regions, including the Krasnodar Region, Crimean Peninsula, Bryansk, Belgorod, Voronezh, Saratov, Stavropol, Kaluga, Tula, Rostov, Ryazan, and bodies of water such as the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea.

On the night when 121 drones were downed, interceptions occurred in 15 regions, with the highest numbers recorded in Krasnodar (29 drones), Crimea (15), Bryansk (13), Belgorod (12), Voronezh and Saratov (8 each), and Stavropol (8). On another occasion, 14 drones were destroyed over the Black Sea, seven over Crimea, nine over the Volgograd Region, seven over Rostov, four over Krasnodar, and others over Belgorod and the Sea of Azov.

Notably, one drone debris incident in the Saratov Region resulted in one fatality and injuries. Furthermore, drone attacks forced temporary restrictions and closures at several Russian airports, such as those in Saratov, Volgograd, Kaluga, Nizhny Novgorod, Vladikavkaz, and Grozny, reflecting the geographic spread of the interceptions.

In summary, the Russian Ministry of Defense reports the shooting down of well over a hundred Ukrainian drones over a wide expanse of Russian regions, mainly concentrated in the southwestern and western parts of Russia and near the Black Sea and Sea of Azov coasts.

It is important to note that the air defense duty forces also reported the shooting down and interception of 34 Ukrainian aircraft-type drones from 12:00 to 15:00 Moscow time, although no specific region was mentioned in this instance. Additionally, a single Ukrainian drone was shot down over the Republic of Adygea.

These developments underscore the ongoing tensions between Ukraine and Russia and highlight the need for vigilance and robust defense systems in the region.
