In the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia, various nations and international organisations are taking active steps towards securing a lasting peace.

NATO military chiefs have reaffirmed their support for Ukraine, aiming to bring about an enduring peace. A coalition of ten European countries, including France, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Spain, and others, have offered troops to enforce security guarantees if a peace agreement is reached with Russia. The United States, while excluding ground troops, is prepared to offer additional support, primarily from the air and with material aid.

The potential deployment of Western soldiers is a topic of debate. Former Supreme Allied Commander Europe of the US Armed Forces, Ben Hodges, considers it necessary for security guarantees for Ukraine. On the other hand, former General Domrose believes that German soldiers will not be stationed in Ukraine after a possible end to the conflict. CDU Bundestag member Jens Lehmann, however, believes it is possible for the German military to participate in securing peace in Ukraine.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expects security guarantees for his country to be fixed in writing within the next seven to ten days. In an effort to facilitate peace talks, Austria and Switzerland have offered to host a peace summit between President Zelenskyy and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump has announced his intention to arrange a meeting between President Putin and President Zelenskyy. Trump reportedly spoke with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban about Ukraine's potential EU membership.

The conflict has had significant impacts on energy supplies. Oil supplies from Russia to Hungary and Slovakia through the Druzhba pipeline have resumed after being interrupted by a Ukrainian drone attack on a Russian pump station. However, Ukrainian attacks have also caused power outages in parts of the Saporischschja region.

The situation has not been without its provocations. Russia has imposed entry bans on 21 individuals accused of working with "destructive British media". A Russian drone has crashed into a cornfield in Poland, traced back to Russia. Latvia's President Edgars Rinkevics has called for the swift reinforcement of the eastern EU external border with Russia and Belarus.

Incidents of violence continue, with at least 14 people, including a family with three children, injured in a Russian attack on the northern Ukrainian region of Sumy. One person was injured in a Russian drone attack on the southern Ukrainian region of Odessa, causing a large fire in a fuel and power plant.

In an effort to support peace efforts, Sweden offers airspace surveillance and maritime security to Ukraine. High-ranking military representatives from the USA and Europe are discussing a potential peace agreement for Ukraine. NATO has also triggered an alarm start of German Eurofighters in Romania due to Russian air activity near the Ukrainian-Romanian border.

Amidst these complexities, US President Donald Trump expresses hope that a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine could improve his chances of getting into heaven. This roundup serves as a testament to the global community's ongoing efforts towards peace in Ukraine.
