Man Causes Chain of Accidents and Keeps Driving - Driver on medication causes multiple crashes in Germany’s Waldshut district
A 52-year-old driver in Wehr, Waldshut district, is accused of causing a string of crashes while allegedly under the influence of medication. The incidents left two people with minor injuries and resulted in significant vehicle damage. Police have seized the man’s licence and car following the collisions on 2 December 2025.
The series of crashes began when the VW Tiguan driver struck an iron bollard and two parked cars. Within minutes, he sideswiped an oncoming vehicle before colliding head-on with another car. Despite the severe impact, he continued driving—even with a wheel reduced to a bare rim.
The investigation remains ongoing as officers await the blood test results. The driver faces potential charges related to impaired driving and leaving the scene of an accident. Authorities have not yet released further details on the case.
