A 33-year-old driver from Thuringia was arrested on Thursday evening after threatening two van occupants with a blank-firing pistol on the A44 highway near Zierenberg, Kassel. The incident occurred following a dispute over a lane change. The motorist pulled out the pistol and made threats during the altercation. Police later found and seized the blank-firing pistol and ammunition from the vehicle. After being stopped near Bad Wünnenberg in North Rhine-Westphalia, the man was taken into custody and transported to the police station in Bad Arolsen district for processing. He was subsequently released. The 33-year-old driver is now under investigation for making threats. No further details have been released at this time.
