Driver aids rap artist Jeezy in reaching Baltimore concert following flight cancellations in rideshare journey.
In an unexpected turn of events, American rapper Jeezy and his team faced a setback during their tour when an object on the highway punctured their gas tank, forcing them to stop at a small gas station in South Carolina.
The incident occurred on August 1, just a day before Jeezy was scheduled to perform at The Lyric Baltimore on August 1, a concert celebrating the 20th anniversary of his album "Thug Motivation 101."
As all flights to Baltimore and D.C. were canceled, the situation seemed dire. But a hero emerged in the form of Tanner, an Uber driver who was originally supposed to take Jeezy and his team to an airport car rental location.
Tanner, without a second thought, decided to drive over 10 hours to help Jeezy reach his concert. He arrived just 10 minutes before Jeezy was scheduled to perform, saving the day.
Jeezy acknowledged Tanner's help in a recent Instagram post, praising him for his quick thinking and selfless act. As a reward, Tanner received a Snowman Tee and was given the MVP treatment at Jeezy's concert.
While the tour continues until September 12, the latest confirmed date found is September 12-13, 2025, for an event called "Vanguardia Subterránea: Latin American Perspectives in Jazz," which includes Jeezy Presents TM:101 Live with Color of Noize Orchestra on August 29, 2025, and the new performance on September 12-13, 2025.
The tour also has stops in Richmond, Virginia, on August 15, and in D.C. on August 31, according to Jeezy's tour website.
It was indeed Tanner who made a lot of people happy at the concert, ensuring that the show must go on, and Jeezy's fans were not left disappointed.
