Drink-Driving Incidents Over Weekend Cause Injuries and Damage

Over the weekend, several drink-driving incidents occurred in the district, leading to injuries and property damage.

In Rheine, a local 31-year-old driver lost control of his ford after consuming alcohol, crashing into a lamppost. His breath alcohol test revealed a reading of 1.6 per mille.

In Lienen, a 29-year-old driver from Cuxhaven was involved in an accident while under the influence, injuring a passenger. The driver's breath alcohol level was around 1.1 per mille, with the car sustaining approximately 6,000 euros in damage.

A 65-year-old man fell off his bicycle in Ochtrup after drinking alcohol, injuring himself and requiring hospitalization.

On Sunday evening at 19:00, a traffic accident involving a drunk driver with a blood alcohol concentration of 1.6 per mille took place near ED2 between Kirchberg and Wartenberg in Landkreis Erding.
