Dries Van Noten's SS2026 Show: Julian Klausner's Bold Debut

Dries Van Noten's eponymous brand continued its sneaker focus for spring/summer 2026, favouring low-profile styles. The label's creative director, Julian Klausner, presented his second womenswear collection at Paris Fashion Week, titled 'Wavelength'.

Klausner, who has worked under Dries Van Noten for six years, took the reins as creative director and made a bold statement with statement necklaces, adding a striking touch to the models' outfits. He opted for a vibrant, in-your-face color palette, including hot pink, cerulean, orange, red, and chartreuse. The collection featured clashing colors and patterns, such as intricate jacquard patterns paired with bright, beaded skirts and psychedelic polka dots. Klausner aimed to convey a sense of ease and optimism, which was well-received by the fashion crowd.

The show, attended by notable figures like Blanca Miro, Monica de La Villardière, Jeanne Damas, and Courtney Trop, showcased wearable pieces with grand embellishments and art-like shapes. Klausner maintained a level of lavishness while adding modernity to the collection, creating looks that clashed in a cool way, combining hard and soft, still and fluid, casual and refined, simple and complex.

Julian Klausner's 'Wavelength' collection for Dries Van Noten was a vibrant and bold statement, successfully blending lavishness with modernity. The collection's unique clash of colors, patterns, and styles was well-received by the fashion elite, solidifying Klausner's position as the brand's creative director.
