Dresden's Police Commissioner Battles for Life and Career After Botched Operation
Dresden's police commissioner, Karin Gorniak, is severely injured in a daring operation gone wrong. She's now fighting for her life and her career, as doubts about her judgement emerge and support from her boss, Schnabel, wanes.
Gorniak is certain that Dr. Christian Mertens is behind the attack, but his wife's alibi puts him in the clear. Gorniak, the only one who saw the perpetrator, must now rely on her memory to identify the culprit. The suspect, a notorious murderer from the 2019 'Tatort' crime series, remains at large.
As the investigation narrows down to Mertens and another suspect, nurse Bernd Haimann, Haimann suddenly disappears before interrogation. Gorniak's new colleague, Leonie Winkler, steps in to continue the hunt for the escaped murderer.
Gorniak's injury has left her questioning her own judgement, but her resolve remains unbroken. With Schnabel's support wavering, Winkler has taken the lead in the investigation. The search for the escaped murderer continues, and the truth about the attack on Gorniak is yet to be uncovered.
