Dresden's famous Music Festival has once again knocked it out of the park with its theme "Love", scoring big attendance numbers reminiscent of last year. Over four weeks, about 65,000 festival-goers jam-packed 58 events, generating an impressive €2 million in sales. The average attendance rate skyrocketed to an impressive 95%, and ticket sales at the box office surged compared to previous years.
Festival director, Jan Vogler, pronounced the event an "outstanding year" ahead of its closing performance, a historical rendition of Richard Wagner's "Siegfried" under Kent Nagano's direction.
