Dresden's Annual Best Amateur Choirs Competition Returns
Dresden is set to host its annual best amateur choirs competition this year. The event, open to all types of choirs, is welcoming applications until the end of September, with prizes of up to 1,200 euros available in five categories.
Choirs based in Dresden, active for at least two years, and with a minimum of 16 active members (10 for school choirs) are eligible to participate. Notably, no more than a quarter of the members can be professional singers or singing teachers. The competition is open to mixed, women's, men's, children's, pop, and school choirs.
The winners will be awarded in the Kulturpalast next year. Despite the ongoing event, there are no specific choir listings available for those who can still complete online registration by the end of September.
The Dresden choir competition is an exciting opportunity for local amateur choirs to showcase their talents and compete for substantial prizes. With the online registration deadline approaching at the end of September, interested choirs are encouraged to apply promptly.
