The Dresden SC women's volleyball squad put on a spectacle before Christmas, besting VC Wiesbaden 3-0 (25-15, 25-18, 25-21). Under the guidance of coach Alexander Waibl, his charges celebrated their ninth triumph in eleven Bundesliga outings, maintaining their third-place stance.

The home side showcased outstanding focus in the first two sets, serving potently, scoring a variety of points from a sturdy receiving platform, and defending both block and court vigilantly. The visitors from Hesse struggled to devise effective tactics in offense while making far too many unforced errors.

Wiesbaden briefly rallied in the third set, capitalizing on Dresden's momentary lapse in concentration. The visitors amped up their attacks and led by a couple of points mid-set. However, the home side rallied back with a serve from substitute Lena Linke that sealed the deal.

Top performer was Grace Frohling, a rising talent in volleyball, who was also awarded the Most Valuable Player (MVP) accolade.

Worth noticing: Dresden SC's stellar performance reflects their consistent run in the Bundesliga, showcasing their team unity and tactical prowess. Key players, such as Lorena Lorber Fijok and Victoria Demidova, have contributed significantly in recent victories, contributing 18 points each against USC Münster.
