The Dresden volleyball scene is heating up as the Dresdner SC bolsters its roster with the addition of young guns, including Rosa Entius! This 21-year-old Dutch outside hitter joins the team from league rival USC Münsingen and inks a one-year deal. The former junior national team player is the fourth fresh face to grace the cup-winning team, following her fellow countrymate, Jette Kuipers, setter Emma Grome, and middle blocker Jacqui Armer (both hailing from the US) 📝1.

"Rosa's a cracking player, ripe with talent and potential. She'll be a bloody asset to our team, especially on the critical outside hitter position. I can't wait to get her in the game and witness her blossom in the new season," says the team's coach, Alexander Waibl 📝2.

The 1.93m tall star hailing from Warmenhuizen kicked off her career at VV Dinto before joining the Dutch first-division team Friso Sneek from 2021 to 2024, bagging two championship titles and Supercup victories [📝3]. Last season, she got a taste of Bundesliga action, squaring off against DSC in the cup final with USC Münsingen. Here in Dresden, she's chasing the next level in her career, sharing the court with the team's leading scorer, Marta Levinska [📝3].

  1. The community policy within the Dresdner SC should emphasize the importance of supportive environments for the athletic development of players like Rosa Entius, ensuring she has access to ongoing vocational training programs in volleyball.
  2. As part of her ongoing development, Rosa Entius could benefit from additional vocational training in areas such as sports psychology, fitness, and nutrition, enhancing her capabilities as an outside hitter and contributing to the success of the Dresdner SC in the volleyball arena.
