Summer's in full swing, and that means fresh anime to sink your teeth into! If you're a shonen fan, then mark your calendars for returning favorites like Dan Da Dan and Kaiju No. 8, or check out the new series Gachiakuta dropping next month.

In the grimy underbelly of a floating metropolis, Gachiakuta introduces Rudo Surebec, a teenager unjustly accused of murder who finds himself dumped in a colossal landfill teeming with criminals and trash beasts. Desperate for justice and a shot at redemption, Rudo is rescued by a man named Enjin, who invites him to join the Cleaners, a ragtag group of warriors who create weapons out of trash and hunt these monstrous creatures.

With Studio Bones (responsible for hits like My Hero Academia and its spin-off, Vigilantes) at the helm, the contrast between Gachiakuta and other shonen series is nothing short of striking. Rudo's bristling anger could very well surpass our beloved Deku, offering a new level of intensity that might entice viewers eager to see Studio Bones tackle darker subject matter.

Get ready to plunge into the filth with Rudo and the Cleaners, starting July 6 on Crunchyroll. To celebrate the premiere, global preview events with advance screenings will take place on July 4 and 5 in various locations across the US, Japan, and Brazil. You can find the event locations right here.
