Draco Malfoy, portrayed by Tom Felton, to reprise his role - now on the New York stage of Broadway.
Harry Potter's Rival Returns to the Stage
NYC (AP) — Tom Felton, the original sneaky Draco Malfoy from the Harry Potter films, is set to make a comeback to the world of magic on the Big Apple's stage this winter in "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child."
"Slipping back into my old robes as Draco Malfoy feels like a dream come true," Felton, currently 37, gushed in a statement. "I'm bloody excited to take the Broadway stage and give fans a whole new spellbinding experience."
Starting his debut performance on November 11 and running through March 22, 2026, Felton's spell-bounding return will be at the Lyric Theatre.
While Malfoy once stirred up trouble for our favorite boy wizard in the books and films, things take a oddly friendly turn in the play, set 19 years after the events of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows." In this new tale, Harry's son Albus develops an unlikely friendship with Draco's son Scorpius at Hogwarts.
Felton will be joining the stage production for the very first time, making his Broadway debut in the role.
Before conquering the stage, the English actor made his West End debut in 2022, appearing in "2:22 A Ghost Story." In 2024, he starred in Gareth Farr's play "A Child of Science" at the Bristol Old Vic. His movie credits include "They Will Kill You," opposite Patricia Arquette, and "Fackham Hall" with Damian Lewis.
