Downtown Gütersloh transforms into a pulsating dance floor, with DJs taking center stage and igniting the night.
On September 16, 2025, the fifth edition of "DJs in Town" took place in Gütersloh, Germany, bringing together music lovers from all corners of the city. The event, which took place from 6 PM to midnight on Saturday evening, featured performances from 15 DJs at two stages: Berliner Platz and Town Hall Square (Konrad-Adenauer-Platz).
Mayor Matthias Trepper officially opened the event at 10 PM, praising the event for its ability to appeal to the city's youth and maintain a peaceful, celebratory atmosphere. He also announced the event's return next year.
Among the notable participants were DJ Active (Denis, 22), who performed at Berliner Platz and was particularly popular with the crowd. DJ Active expressed enthusiasm about the crowd, describing them as open, in a good mood, and full of energy. Simon Drosten from Wapelbeats, LUKE D, and the Whiteheads were also part of the lineup.
Local residents Liam, Nico, Ali, Gina, and Lina, who have attended the event every year, were present to enjoy the music and camaraderie. Even a brief rain shower around 10 PM could not dampen the spirits of the crowd, as many guests danced under umbrellas.
DJ Mr. Jawbone, who performed in front of the Town Hall, also expressed his enthusiasm for the event, stating it's great to see something organized for the young people. Project manager Lena Jeckel, who prepared for the event for two months, was relieved and proud of the successful outcome.
The DJs played a variety of music, including electronic sounds, house, charts, reggae, and club music, ensuring there was something for everyone to enjoy. The crowd cheered in approval, confirming that the city's club music event has become a beloved annual tradition.
