Bonhams, the renowned auction house, is set to host a special farewell exhibition and auction of props, costumes, and set pieces from the beloved TV series, Downton Abbey. The event, titled Downton Abbey: The Auction, will take place from August 18 to September 16, 2025, at Bonhams' New Bond Street saleroom in London.
Highlights of the auction include iconic items such as Michelle Dockery's wedding dress and bouquet, worn during Lady Mary's wedding in season three, with an estimated price of £3,000 – 5,000. Dame Maggie Smith's wardrobe will also be up for grabs, including a Light Pink Day Dress and a Dark Grey Day Dress from season six, with an estimated price of £1,500 – 2,000.
The auction will feature many more treasures from the series, including costumes worn by Lady Sybil, Lady Rose, and other beloved characters. One of Jessica Brown Findlay's costumes, as Lady Sybil, from season one, will also be auctioned.
Gareth Neame, CEO of Carnival Films, expressed his pride in the world of Downton Abbey and its rich, timeless storytelling. He believes that the auctioned items hold a special place in the show's history.

The proceeds from the sale of items donated by Carnival Films will continue to support Together for Short Lives, a UK charity for children with life-limiting conditions and their families.
