Douglas Council adjusts rubbish collections for Christmas holidays

Douglas City Council has announced changes to rubbish and recycling collections over the Christmas period. The adjusted schedule includes revised dates for kerbside pickups and temporary closures at local amenity sites. Kerbside collections will shift due to public holidays. Christmas Day collections, normally on Thursday, December 25, will move to Saturday, December 27. Residents must place their wheelie bins out by the evening of Friday, December 26 for this pickup. The changes aim to keep services running smoothly despite the holidays. Residents should note the adjusted dates for bin collections and site closures. Those with Christmas trees to dispose of can use the designated recycling points in early January.
