Dortmund Thrashes Bilbao 4-1, Extends Unbeaten Home Run

Borussia Dortmund secured a convincing 4-1 victory over Athletic Bilbao in the Champions League. The home team, led by Anthony Guirassy, extended their impressive home record and handed Ernesto Valverde his second consecutive defeat in the competition.

The match started with Dortmund taking the lead in the 28th minute through Daniel Svensson. The home team's dominance continued in the second half. Carney Chukwuemeka doubled the lead in the 50th minute, followed by a goal from Marcel Sabitzer in the 82nd minute. Anthony Guirassy, who has been directly involved in 20 Champions League goals since the start of last season, played a significant role in the team's performance.

Gorka Guruzeta scored a consolation goal for Bilbao in the 61st minute. However, Dortmund sealed the victory with a late goal from Julian Brandt. The win extends Dortmund's unbeaten run at home in the Champions League to 18 matches, with only one loss in their last 19 games.
