Dortmund Maintains Unbeaten Streak in Champions League with 4-1 Win Over Bilbao
Borussia Dortmund secured a 4-1 victory over Athletic Bilbao in the UEFA Champions League, maintaining their unbeaten streak in the competition this season. The win, which came after coach Niko Kovac rotated half of the starting lineup, sees Dortmund with four points from two games in the Champions League standings.
The rotated lineup, featuring Niklas Süle, Jude Bellingham, Julian Ryerson, Serhou Guirassy, and Carney Chukwuemeka, proved effective against Bilbao. Guirassy, Chukwuemeka, Julian Brandt, and Daniel Svensson all found the net for Dortmund.
Gorka Guruzeta scored for Bilbao, but it wasn't enough to overcome Dortmund's attacking prowess. The win keeps Dortmund undefeated in the Champions League this season.
Dortmund's next challenge in the Champions League is against FC Copenhagen on October 21. Before then, they face RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga on Saturday, looking to build on their strong start to the season.
