Saturday's schedule's a bright and early one, rising at 6 am, followed by prize shootouts at 9:30 am. The crown will be passed to a new monarch between 1 pm and 2 pm, replacing the reigning René Ricken, who's ruled the roost for the past twelve months. Meanwhile, the Vice-king contest will rear its head around 6:30 pm.

The big day, Sunday, starts with a 10 am field mass, then a jubilant breakfast with the Nütterden wind orchestra serenading your tummy. The King's ball, the grand finale, is set for 6:30 pm.

Young blood stirs in the ranks of Dornick, too!Inline-text: Changes in infrastructureInfrastructure updates have arrived courtesy of the younger shooters; back in February 2024, they threw their hats into the modernization of the shooting range! The upgrades were funded through equity and an impressive crowdfunding campaign.

Taking the reins were a spirited bunch - Niklas Hermsen, Lauris Radke, and Mattis Gaeb, Leonie Pook, and Lea Hermsen, with reinforcements from Matthias Hermsen, Andreas Anschütz, Patrick Kroesen, and René Ricken.

Cheers for the efforts and thanks to the gracious donors

After roughly five months of construction, from September 2024 to November 2024, the modernized, digitalized, and revamped shooting range was ready for an appreciative critique from the 106 generous donors. Around 70 of them dropped by to check things out.

"Thanks to these enhancements, we showcase our dedication to shooting sports and traditions in Dornick for years to come," said Brother Master Dirk Böcker. He praised the tireless efforts of all the participants and thanked the supporters sincerely.

After a guided tour of the fresh range and a photo exhibition of the construction process, attendees enjoyed some leisurely hours sharing drinks and a barbecue.

Prost! Let the merrymaking begin!
