Domestic Worker Preview: Sydney Sweeney Reveals Hidden Truths Concerning Amanda Seyfried's Kinship

In the upcoming psychological thriller, The Housemaid, audiences are promised a wildly entertaining journey into a world where perfection is an illusion and nothing is as it seems. The movie, directed by Paul Feig, is set to hit theatres on December 19, 2025.

The story revolves around Millie, a young woman played by Sydney Sweeney, who lands a job as a live-in housemaid for the wealthy Nina (Amanda Seyfried) and Andrew Winchester (Brandon Sklenar). The synopsis hints at a sexy, seductive game of secrets, scandal, and power behind the Winchesters' closed doors.

When Millie uncovers these disturbing secrets about the Winchesters' opulent lifestyle, what begins as a dream job quickly unravels into something far more dangerous. As she grows closer to the family and the couple, Millie's life spirals out of control, and she becomes volatile and shows erratic behavior.

The movie is based on Frieda McFadden's 2022 novel of the same name and is produced by Todd Lieberman for Hidden Pictures. Executive producers include Sweeney, Seyfried, McFadden, Alex Young, Feig, and Laura Fischer.
