A Golden Retriever puppy named Rooster from Portland, Maine, has become a viral sensation after a video of him tasting a lemon for the first time was shared on social media.

Portland, ME - The world of the internet has fallen in love with Rooster, a playful Golden Retriever, after a video showing his reaction to tasting a lemon was posted online.
Curiosity gets the best of young creatures, and Rooster is no exception. As his owner placed a slice of the tangy fruit near his nose, Rooster found himself encountering an unexpected taste, to say the least.
In the memorable video, Rooster, eager to investigate the novel object, lunges at the lemon but quickly pulls back, his expression reflecting shock and disgust. It seems as though Rooster had been hit by a bolt of "spiciness" he could not have prepared for.
When the lemon's sourness hit his taste buds, the puppy in question responded by making a grimace and giving an accusing snort. Shaking his head disapprovingly, Rooster then proceeded to paw and kick the lemon slice away in clear rejection.
In true puppy fashion, Rooster seemed to put on an amusing little "I think you're gross" dance as he hopped around the fruit, ran, and stumbled.
While some viewers found the moment hilariously reminiscent of their own lemon encounters, others questioned Rooster's owner's judgment in allowing the lemon to attack the little pup. However, the majority of viewers found the video adorable, earnestly captivated by the young dog's clumsy antics.
The clip, initially posted on TikTok, has gained over 2.4 million views, proving that Rooster's quirky reaction strikes a chord with viewers everywhere.
