Get ready, pet parents! On June 14th and 15th, the laid-back Baltic coast town of Kellenhusen, Schleswig-Holstein, is transforming into a pooch paradise. Sponsored by Baltic Seals and the dog school ArtHundWeise, Ostseebad Kellenhusen is play host to the 13th edition of Dog Day on the glorious Southern Beach, Strandpromenade 38.
The stage is set for the Ostsee-Cup, one of the biggest agility competitions in Schleswig-Holstein, with stars from the agility scene ready to show off their skills and fitness. The games begin at 9 am both days, with teams battling it out for points and the coveted title of "Ostsee-Cup Winner."
Agility is all about the dogs' speed, coordination, and sharp brains as they dash through a course littered with seesaws, tunnels, hoops, and more, aiming for minimal mistakes. Dogs are split into size and skill-based categories.
Fancy giving it a go yourself? Give the DogsGym/Dogility Interactive Course a spin hosted by the dog school. Register on-site, and you can join the Saturday and Sunday "Course Run U4" challenge. The goal? Complete the course in under four minutes. Bravo competitors – you'll earn a little surprise! The course will be available from 11 am to 2 pm on both days.
And that's not all! The event is chock-full of exhibitors showcasing the coolest dog-centric products, from treats and toys to training aids. Bring home goodies for your furry friend and enjoy the rest of the festivities! 🎊 🦮 🐾
