DLRG St. Ingbert: Maintaining Stability and Freshening the Atmosphere
New DLRG St. Ingbert Board Aims to Reduce Drowning Incidents
The DLRG St. Ingbert, a local branch dedicated to water safety, held a member meeting on February 26, 2023, where significant changes were announced. Among the most notable decisions was the election of new board members, each bringing their unique skills and dedication to the table.
Johannes Rohe, a prominent figure in the community, was elected as the new chairman. Rohe expressed concern about the number of drowning incidents last year, stating that 350 people drowned nationwide. As the newly elected chairman, Rohe emphasized that drowning is preventable and that the local branch aims to contribute to preventing such tragedies.
Joining Rohe on the board is Tim Weller, Thomas Rohe, Susanne Baumann, Lukas Michel, and Tim Weller. Each member brings a distinct set of skills and experiences to the table, ensuring a well-rounded approach to the DLRG's mission.
In the role of technical leader of operations and training, Nico Baus was elected. Christian Weidmann was elected as the deputy technical leader, providing valuable support. Timo Huber was elected as the youth leader, ensuring the DLRG's youth initiatives remain strong.
Sonja Heib was elected as the secretary, and Thomas Baer was elected as the treasurer. The remaining roles on the board include Markus Binder as chairperson, Daniel Becker as deputy chairperson, Tabea Seel as secretary, and Marco Heiden as treasurer.
The DLRG St. Ingbert also announced swimming courses every Wednesday at 5:30 PM at the Blau swimming pool. These courses aim to educate the community on water safety and swimming techniques.
Jürgen Groß was elected as the technician, and Thomas Winter was elected as the press officer, ensuring the DLRG's activities and initiatives receive proper coverage.
