DLRG St. Ingbert emphasizes steadiness and fresh ambiance
New Leadership at DLRG St. Ingbert: A Commitment to Prevent Drowning
The DLRG St. Ingbert, a local branch dedicated to preventing drowning incidents, has announced its new board following the annual meeting held on February 26, 2023. The election saw the appointment of several new members, each bringing a unique blend of experience and fresh ideas to the table.
Johannes Rohe, elected as the new chairman, emphasized the preventable nature of drowning incidents. He expressed concern over the high number of reported deaths last year, with over 350 tragic cases. Rohe's aim is to contribute to preventing such deaths as a local branch of the DLRG.
Thorsten Feist and Christoph Hauck were elected as the 1st and 2nd chairmen, respectively. Lukas Hauck was appointed as the Chairman of Youth, while Timo Huber took on the role of the new youth leader for the youth of the DLRG St. Ingbert.
In addition to these leadership roles, the board also includes Lisa Mauer as Treasurer, Michael Schmied as Deputy Treasurer, Nina Roos as Secretary, Thomas Kiefer as Deputy Secretary, and Tim Weller and Lukas Michel as board members.
The DLRG St. Ingbert is also committed to offering swimming lessons to the community. Every Wednesday at 5:30 PM, lessons are held at the Blau. Nico Baus was elected as the new technical leader for operations and training, ensuring the quality and safety of these lessons.
Christian Weidmann was elected as the deputy technical leader, and Sonja Heib was elected as the secretary, rounding out the new board. The election has put the DLRG St. Ingbert in a favorable position, with a team ready to make a difference in the prevention of drowning-related deaths.
