Diving Club Wins Free Ad Space on Osnabrück's Electric Bus

A diving club in Osnabrück has won a unique advertising prize. The Unterwasserclub Osnabrück e.V. (UCO) secured free space on one of the city's electric buses after topping a public vote. Their underwater-themed design now travels across Osnabrück's streets. Stadtwerke Osnabrück, the city's municipal utility company, organised the second 'Club Bus' competition. The initiative lets local clubs promote their activities affordably while strengthening community ties. Ten finalists were shortlisted, with the winner decided by online voting.

The UCO celebrated the bus's first trip with a special event. Members gathered in diving gear to welcome the vehicle as it set off. The winning wrap, featuring the club's underwater motif, was applied by Golenia Werbung, a local advertising partner. Details about the number of Osnabrück clubs entering the competition remain unclear. However, the UCO's victory ensures their design will be seen on one of the city's 62 electric articulated buses for months to come.

The competition gives local groups visibility without the usual costs. The UCO's bus now serves as a moving advert for the club, reaching residents and visitors alike. Stadtwerke Osnabrück plans to continue supporting similar community projects in the future.
