Dive In: Experience Alice By Heart! - Adaptation Awaits You
Alice By Heart Hits the Stage at Alternate College Theatre
Next week, Alternate College Theatre will be presenting the musical Alice By Heart at The Pit, located in the basement of O'Kane Hall. This production is directed by Michael Sheehan, choreographed by Rachel Golden, music directed by Emily Fox and Frank Amuso, and stage managed by Adele Feldberg.
The story takes place in a London tube station during World War II and follows the character Alice (Maddie Burke), who uses Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland to console her friend's illness. The musical was created by Steven Sater and Jessie Nelson.
Jonathan Nazzaro '27, a music enthusiast, will be reviewing the production for the first time. He finds himself obsessed with the musical's original cast recording. Tim St. John '26, this week's Crusader of the Week, is also involved in Alternate College Theatre and has been a part of four ACT productions, with Alice By Heart being his fourth.
Frank Amuso '26, a Classics/Music double major, is a member of several choirs and co-chair of Alternate College Theatre. He is also the focus of a separate "Crusader of the Week" feature.
Despite some speculation, there is no record of the fastest production time for Alice By Heart at Alternate College Theatre. Productions appear to follow typical schedules rather than rapid turnaround executions.
The shows will be on March 20th, 21st, 22nd, and 23rd. Don't miss out on this incredible production!
