The ensuing violence and casualties have prompted Israel to launch an investigation into the incidents, while the GHF has accused Hamas of imposing the blockade and causing the multi-hour delays in aid distribution at the center. Hamas, on the other hand, has described the scene as tragic and painful, with thousands of hungry individuals left with no choice but to storm the warehouses.
On a separate note, Jake Wood, the executive director of the GHF, resigned on Sunday, citing the foundation's inability to fulfill its mission according to "humanitarian principles." A replacement was appointed on Monday.
