District Parliaments' Elected Leaders Announced

Vienna's District Council Election Results: A Surprising Twist

The dust has settled on Vienna's election, and a few shockers emerged from the district races. In the municipal council election, the SPO dominated all 23 districts, proving to be the undisputed ruler.

The SPO, looking unstoppable, triumphed in the district council elections as well: 17 districts, including key areas such as Favoriten, Donaustadt, and Mayor Michael Ludwig's home district - Floridsdorf, turned red. In the heated battle for Simmering, the SPO's district chairman held off the FPO.

The Greens snatched victory in three districts: Neubau, Josefstadt, and Währing, leaving their eco-imprint on these areas.

The OVP, however, will hold the district chair in three districts: Döbling, Hietzing, and the Innere Stadt, though they suffered losses. CLICK HERE FOR THE COMPLETE RESULTS FROM ALL 23 DISTRICT COUNCIL ELECTIONS:
