Distressed swan's early-morning rampage disrupts quiet German village
Residents in Groß Flotow faced an unusual disturbance early one morning when a distressed swan caused a commotion. The bird's erratic behaviour and loud screams woke people up, prompting police to step in before dawn.
The swan appeared disoriented and aggressive, likely due to thick fog blanketing the area. It ran wildly, screamed repeatedly, and even tried to take flight—only to crash into a tree. The noise and chaos disrupted the sleep of nearby residents.
Two police officers arrived at the scene to handle the situation. Using their patrol car's headlights, they managed to calm the agitated bird. After guiding it safely to a nearby field, the swan finally settled down and rested quietly.
No public details have emerged about how the villagers reacted to the incident after the police left.
The swan's ordeal ended peacefully once it was moved to an open space. Police intervention ensured the bird's safety and restored quiet to the village. The early-morning disturbance concluded without further incident.
