Disruption of travel to five locations in Primorye region reported

Widespread Cleanup Underway in Primorye After Heavy Flooding. As of Tuesday morning, May 6, transportation to five quaint settlements in the Partizansk, Chuguyevsky, and Yakovlevsky municipal districts remains disrupted, according to the Russian Emergencies Ministry's Primorye Territorial Center. They revealed this information to IA PrimaMedia.

These seven private plots in Spassk-Dalny have been successfully drained of water, the agency stated. However, a residential house in the village of Koksharovka, Chuguyevsky District, and 51 private plots in three settlements in the Chuguyevsky District and Spassk-Dalny are still submerged in water.

Refreshing our memories, heavy rains and floods in Primorye led to road flooding and isolated six charming villages. Minister of Emergency Situations of the region, Alexander Zlatkin, previously reassured residents that they have access to water, food, and electricity[3].

Despite Zlatkin's statements, the situation in the Chuguyevsky, Anuchinsky, and Partizansk districts is most severe. In Chuguyevsky, 33 residential areas in Uborka, Novomikhaylovka, and Koksharovka are flooded, with no access to Berezovka and Polynikh[3].

*Some context from this year and the previous winter:*Recent floods have led to dissatisfaction among the local populace, with ongoing concerns about the authorities' response. Although certain facilities, like a polyclinic and the “Rus” sanatorium, have been reopened, complaints persist about the glacial speed of structural improvements designed to prevent and manage future flood events[2]. The populace feels underserved, as inspections and statements from the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the President's Administration have yet to lead to significant changes[2].
