Dispute over begging spot escalates into fatal stabbing in Shah Alam, alleged perpetrator detained

Kuala Lumpur, April 25 - Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has strongly criticized the barbaric incident in Pahalgam, Indian-administered Kashmir, branding it an inhumane, calculated attack that has no place in civilized society.

According to recent reports, the victims were systematically targeted before being cold-bloodedly executed. Anwar expressed his outrage, declaring such brutality as wholly unacceptable in any civilized society.

In his most recent Facebook post, he expressed his sincere condolences to the bereaved families and prayers for the speedy recovery of the injured. He appealed to all Malaysians, urging restraint and wisdom in dealing with the aftermath of this tragedy. He warned against allowing acts of terror to sow discord.

"Let us reaffirm our unwavering resolve - regionally and globally - for peace, justice, and human dignity," he stated.

In an attempt to seek global support, Anwar also called upon the international community to collaborate in identifying and prosecuting the masterminds behind the massacre. He further emphasized the necessity of ensuring that such atrocities are neither repeated nor rewarded.

Initial investigations have unearthed details about the perpetrators involved. A group of five individuals, including Pakistani nationals and local residents, have been identified. The key instigator, Hashim Musa alias Suleiman, is a Pakistani national who has reportedly been active in Jammu and Kashmir for over a year, believed to be involved in at least three previous attacks. Musa is currently believed to be hiding in the Pir Panjal range.

The other four suspects, identified as Ali Bhai alias Talha (Pakistani), Asif Fauji (Pakistani), Adil Hussain Thoker (resident of Anantnag), and Ahsan (resident of Pulwama), have also been linked to the incident. Sketches of these suspects have been released based on eyewitness descriptions.

Security agencies are currently exploring ties between Pakistani-backed terror groups and local accomplices who facilitated the entry of foreign terrorists into the region [1]. The United States has urged for the prosecution of those responsible, expressing strong condemnation of all forms of terrorism [2].

Security forces continue their relentless pursuit of the perpetrators, and the investigation remains ongoing. The Jammu and Kashmir police have released sketches of the suspects and are actively hunting for them. As of now, no arrests have been publicly announced.
