The Latvian National Museum of Art is currently hosting an exhibition featuring the Oscar statue, the Golden Globe, and the European Film Academy Awards. This unique display is connected to the Latvian film "Flow," which achieved significant international recognition, including winning the Golden Globe.

The exhibition, which began some time ago, is set to conclude on August 17, 2025. While the exact reason for the exhibition's closure is not specified, it is common for such displays to be limited-time events organized to celebrate notable achievements or promote cultural awareness.

Astrīda Rogule, the art historian and curator of the Museum's Contemporary Collection, stated that visitor interest in the Oscars was already evident on social networks. The museum's decision to display the awards was made to fulfill visitor's wishes, and the duration of the awards' display at the museum will depend on audience interest.

The film's producer Matīss Kaža has already returned to Latvia, and the rest of the "Flow's" team will return on Wednesday evening. Upon their return, they will be welcomed at the Freedom Monument, a symbol of Latvia's independence and a popular tourist attraction.

Visitors had expressed a wish to see the Oscars at the Art Museum, and the display of the awards at the museum is not a permanent exhibition. This limited-time event allows the public to see these prestigious awards, highlighting independent European animation's success.
