"Coco 2": A Sequel that's Alive with Anticipation!
- Disney-produced animated movie receives a subsequent installation
Disney's Hit Animated Movie "Coco - More Alive Than Life!" (2017) is gearing up for a second round! In a thrilling announcement at Disney's Annual Shareholder Meeting, CEO Bob Iger spilled the beans about a forthcoming sequel, "Coco 2", currently in production at Pixar Animation Studios. But fans, hold your horses - you'll have to wait till 2029 to catch this magical spectacle on the big screen, as per the Pixar X-Account [1][2][4].
While the details are hush-hush, Iger promises a horn-honking heap of humor, heart, and hair-raising adventures! Of course, we can't wait to dish out deets as we get 'em [1][4].
The original creative powerhouse behind "Coco", including visionary director Lee Unkrich and co-director Adrian Molina, will be back to bring "Coco 2" to life [1][3][4]. Oscar-winning producer Mark Nielsen has also hopped on board [1].
What's "Coco" all about?
In the first "Coco", we follows the adventurous journey of 12-year-old Miguel Rivera, who dares to shatter the musical taboo within his family during the "Día de los Muertos", the Day of the Dead. An unexpected trip to the Land of the Dead, a shimmering world teeming with eccentric characters, leads Miguel to cross paths with his ancestors and Hector. Together, they embark on an epic mission to set things right amidst secrets, lies, and undying love [5].
Beneath the laughter, "Coco" carries a profound message – the dead should never be forgotten. By recounting tales of departed loved ones, they continue to thrive in our heartfelt memories, as seen in the Land of the Dead. It's a heartwarming plea for remembrance, challenging customs, and bucking the trend towards forgetting [5].
