Disney Plus and Naver Team Up for New Webtoon Platform and ‘Hero Killer’ Anime
Naver's U.S. webtoon subsidiary has inked a deal with Disney Plus to launch a new digital comics platform. The collaboration includes an anime adaptation of the popular webtoon 'Hero Killer'. The French animation studio Anime Digital Network, in partnership with Jaedam Media from South Korea, is producing the anime series based on 'Hero Killer'. This marks a significant step in the global expansion of Naver's webtoon arm, which has previously partnered with BOOM! Studios and Disney Plus for a North American push. The new platform and anime adaptation are set to bring Naver's unique storytelling to a wider international audience.
